i've played street fighter games in the past infact i'm one of the lucky owners of a dreamcast copy of marvel vs capcom 2. the thing i find interesting about this is that ken fights darn near exactly the same as he did in mvc2, infact most of the characters have the EXACT same moveset as they do in the other iterations of this series minus a few moves and oh yeah with a graphics upgrade comes less characters than we've seen in sf since the first game of the series.

also the AI in this game takes all the fun out of a mediocre fighting system. on the normal difficulty, i got beaten on the third level by an AI who used just the ability moves, didn't throw a single punch or kick the whole match, and say what you want about skill level and ability thats not fun to deal with. but being a good sport i cranked the difficulty down and figured i'd work my way up. on the very first fight chun li spent the whole match crouched down throwing attacks whenever i got close enough. again, i don't care what your opinion about my ability is the AI being designed to fight like that is unacceptable. of course after playing it online i learned why the ai fights the way it does. after 3 matches online i officially gave up. there isn't a thing fun about this game it's all a competition to see who can fight the cheapest.

the graphics also are pretty crap, yeah i know the whole cel shading thing is a style, but i've never liked it for certain aplications and doing a whole game cel shaded is never a good idea. you wind up with what looks like lazy animation no matter how much work you put into it, and in this game it just looks cartoony and silly.

overall i'd say if your a street fighter fan get one of the other versions, it's the same fighting for a lesser price and you'll get more characters for your trouble.

Dont get me wrong this is a good not great game with flaws but I only give it 1 star because there's nothing but Street Fighter 2 characters on here with the exception of a few Alpha and new characters. Where's the assigned stages for each character? What happen to all the special moves that each character used to have which is like at least 3 instead of just 2 and some characters used to have like 4 or 5 like Akuma! Street Fighter franchise in all aspects is the best fighting game of all time and part 3 along with Alpha 3 was the best ever made in my opinion because it stood out and different from the rest. The same with Capcom vs Snk 2 was the best rival game capcom has made. Where's Elena,Ibuki,Makoto,Hugo,Dudley,Akex,Yun and Yang,Remy,Twelve,Q,and Urien,Deejay,Eagle? At least Elena,Ibuki,Makoto,Hugo,Dudley and Eagle should of made the cut or even some ex characters should of made the cut like Karen even though the ex series were disappointing. How come Capcom want ever release another version of Fighting Evolution to redeem itself over the disappointing first one? Where's Capcom vs Snk 3? I just hope this game is not the only version and hope to see future upgraded versions with more depth and characters just like in the past with previous Street Fighter games and also hope this is a fresh start from the dead with more rival games in the near future

I cannot believe someone recommended Street Fighter 4 to me. I feel profoundly tricked and cheated.

The first thing you will notice is that the game's configuration options are unbelievably overcomplicated, and if you don't understand them (which no one does), the default settings make it easy for anybody on the Internet to hijack your PS3 and erase any progress you may have been in the middle of.

But beyond that, the bottom line is that most of the characters and special moves are STILL completely unchanged from back when I played the same stupid game on my SNES 15 years ago. Sure, they threw in some time-wasting cut scenes with some remarkably bad voice acting (even by video game standards), but there is absolutely nothing new that anyone would actually want.

It should be illegal to call a game a "sequel" without adding anything new. It's like they are trying to see how many times they can make you pay for the same thing. Please don't buy Street Fighter 4.

I'm rating this game 1 star because Capcom didn't give us a demo.
I live in a place where it is impossible to get to a game rental store and I don't have a car. So unless the game is horrible there is no reason to make demos available for us. I buy all my games from Amazon.com, so I must make sure that I like the game before I buy it and the only way to do that is by playing the demo.
I see the 5 star reviews but I really find them unreliable, cause one I bought headphones according to the amazing reviews but the headphones really almost ruined my ears and left me deaf and I returned them on the same day I got them, so the only find the one star reviews reliable.
